We would like to teach you how to play the exciting game of Big Raise Stud Poker, which is available at Four Winds Hartford!
To Play
Like the traditional game of Poker, Big Raise Stud Poker uses a standard 52 card deck. However, this game’s objective is to get a pair of 6s or better. Big Raise Stud Poker features head-to-head play against the Dealer and two bets – one mandatory, the other optional. A player must first make an Ante bet to compete in the main game. At that time, a player may also make the optional 3 Card Bonus bet to qualify for additional bonuses.
Once all Ante bets are made, players will receive three cards and the dealer will place two community cards facedown. Players then have the option to either fold and surrender their Ante; or make a raise bet of 1-4 times their Ante. After Players decide to fold or raise, the Dealer will reveal the two community cards and end the hand. At that time, all players will be paid out according to the pay table.
Winning & Losing
A player wins if their combined five-card poker hand is a pair of 10s or better, and push if they have a pair of 6s-9s. Both the Ante and Raise bet pay according to an escalating pay schedule. Please see table layout for odds.
3 Card Bonus
This optional 3 Card Bonus wager wins if your first three cards contain a pair or better.
Now that you know the basics, try your luck at Big Raise Stud Poker at Four Winds Harford. If you are still unsure about playing, just let the Dealer know it’s your first time playing and they would be happy to assist you.
