The month of October was full of excitement at Hard Rock’s around the world in celebration and support of the Pinktober campaign. Hard Rock Cafe’s around the world raise money and awareness for the fight against breast cancer through Pinktober merchandise specials and local fundraisers.
Hard Rock Cafe Four Winds celebrated Pinktober locally by participating in local events, holding two silent auctions and Wine & Canvas events, as well as our Friday Night Pinktober Concert Series, benefitting the Susan G. Komen Southwest Michigan affiliate. The eventful month started with the chefs serving up Java Lava Sliders at the Harbor Country Wine & Harvest Event – where event goers could sample legendary food for a small donation. We rocked for awareness every Friday with live performances, including an acoustic performance by Grammy® nominee Linda Chorney. Pinktober Bracelets were available for $2 in advance or $5 at the door on show nights with 100% of the proceeds benefitting Komen Southwest Michigan. Representatives from Komen were also at the Friday concerts with merchandise to raise additional donations.
There was something for everyone during the Pinktober festivities – Many gathered to paint for a cure at two Wine & Canvas events featuring Breast Cancer Awareness themes and continued the fun by bidding on great items such as an autographed Sammy Hagar Guitar in our two silent auctions.
Pinktober 2015 was a huge success for Hard Rock Cafe Four Winds. We helped Susan G. Komen Southwest Michigan raise over $8,063 for cancer research and support for Southwest Michigan individuals seeking cancer testing. It was a great success, thanks to all of our guests and fans. We’re excited about raising more money in 2016!
