Triple Bonus Pai Gow Poker

Date of Post: Oct 7, 2017

If you like traditional Pai Gow Poker, give Triple Bonus Pai Gow a try on your next visit. This game has many of the same basics as traditional Pai Gow Poker, but offers an additional Bonus Bet (Community Dragon Hand).

Triple Bonus Pai Gow differs from the traditional game by having only five player positions. The sixth position (next to the Dealer’s left side) is for the Plus Hand (Community Dragon Hand), on which all the players have the option to bet.  Triple Bonus Pai Gow may look intimidating but we are here to give you the basics in a little gaming 101.

To Play

1.)    To play Triple Bonus Pai Gow, each player must make a Pai Gow Poker wager and can make an optional Bonus wager. Note: 1. Players must bet the optional bonus bet before the cards are dealt; 2. The Plus Hand (Community Dragon Hand) wager may be larger than the Pai Gow Poker wager within the table limits.

2.)    Once the players set their hands and before the Dealer exposes the House Hand, the players may bet the option Plus Hand (Community Dragon Hand).

3.)    After all Player hands have been set, the Dealer sets the Plus Hand (community Dragon Had) first, then House Hand according to the House Way.

4.)    The Dealer then compares the Plus Hand (Community Dragon Hand) against the House Hand and settles the Plus Hand (Community Dragon Hand) wager as appropriate.

5.)    Each hand is settled in the following order:

    1. Plus Hand (Community Dragon Hand)
    2. Bonus Bet
    3. Pai Gow Poker

The Bonus Wager

The bonus wager ($1.00-$50.00) is an optional bet that the Player’s best five card hand, out of his or her original seven cards, will make a qualifying poker hand, regardless of how the players set their Pai Gow Poker hand. In addition, if the Dragon Hand has four of a kind or better, the Player will receive the Dragon Hand Bonus amount. The payoff schedule is posted at the table.

The Tripe Bonus is an additional bonus bet. If a player places a bet of $5.00 or more on the Bonus spot, they will be eligible to win that Bonus wager not only based on his or her hand and the Dragon Hand, but the player will also have the chance to win the Bonus based on any of the other players’ hands.

If a player’s Bonus bet is less than $5.00, the player only qualifies to win the Bonus based on his or her hand.

All other Pai Gow rules remain the same; therefore, neither the house advantage nor the math analysis would be affected. No other aspects, features or characteristics of Pai Gow will be changed.
