Roger Hodgson is recognized as one of the most gifted composers, songwriters and lyricists of our time. Hodgson co-founded the progressive rock band Supertramp in 1969 and was with them for 14 years. As the legendary voice, writer and arranger of most of Supertramp’s greatest hits that led to more than 60 million record sales, he gave us amazingly enduring songs such as “The Logical Song,” “Breakfast in America,”Give a Little Bit,” “Take the Long Way Home,” “Dreamer,” "It's Raining Again,” “School,” “Fool's Overture” and so many others that have become the sound track of our lives. The Dinner Detective is very different from traditional murder mystery dinners.  Anyone in the room can end up being a part of the show, and the action happens throughout the entire room!  Throughout the night, a crime will occur, hidden clues will be revealed, and Detectives will help everyone try to crack the case.  Every murder mystery admission ticket includes:  An interrogation buffet featuring a wide selection of entrees including Lobster Mac & Cheese, Slow Roasted Carved New York Strip, Fried Shrimp and more, and a tantalizing Prize Package for the Top Sleuth who comes closest to solving the crime.

Lewis Black: It Gets Better Every Day

Little River Band was formed in Melbourne, Australia in 1975 and immediately claimed their place as one of the great vocal bands of the 1970s and 1980s. Melissa Etheridge - The Medicine Tour

Melissa Etheridge is one of rock music’s great female icons. Her critically acclaimed eponymous debut album was certified double platinum and her popularity was built around such memorable songs as “Bring Me Some Water,” “No Souvenirs,” and “Ain’t It Heavy,” for which she won her first Grammy for Best Female Rock Vocal. Aaron Lewis - State I'm In Tour

Damon Wayans is known throughout the world for his comedic genius and is most fondly remembered for the Emmy Award winning series “In Living Color” where he created sketch characters like Homey the Clown, Handiman, and Blaine from Men on Film. The Million Dollar Quartet

Alan Parsons Live Project

Alan Parsons is a Grammy award winning artist and legendary music icon who has a storied and unique history in the music business.  He was fortunate enough to work as the assistant engineer on the last two albums by The Beatles and after he became a fully-fledged recording engineer, he went on to work with Paul McCartney and The Hollies, among many others.  It was his contribution as an engineer on Pink Floyd’s classic “The Dark Side Of The Moon” that really got him the world’s attention.  That soon led to striking successes as a producer, notably with Pilot’s “Magic,” John Miles’ “Highfly” and “Music,” and Steve Harley’s “Make Me Smile.”  He also produced the hugely successful “Year Of The Cat” album with Al Stewart and two albums with American prog rock band Ambrosia.

In 1975 he met Eric Woolfson, who not only became his manager, but joined forces with Alan as a songwriting and performing partner for what became known as The Alan Parsons Project.  Their debut album, “Tales Of Mystery And Imagination,” based on the works of Edgar Allan Poe, paved the way for signing to Clive Davis’ newly launched Arista label and a string of hit albums, namely, “I Robot,” “Pyramid,” “The Turn of a Friendly Card,” “Eye in the Sky,” “Ammonia Avenue,” “Vulture Culture,” “Stereotomy,” and “Gaudi.

With his long-standing previous Alan Parsons Project collaborators, guitarist Ian Bairnson, drummer Stuart Elliott and orchestral arranger Andrew Powell, Alan dropped the “Project” identity for Alan Parsons’ “Try Anything Once” in 1994.  The partnership continued for “On Air” in 1996 and “The Time Machine” in 1999.  During this time, the first incarnation of “Alan Parsons Live Project” toured extensively all over the globe.  Following Alan’s relocation to California in 1999, a brand new Live Project band was formed in 2003.  The current live band consists of Alan on acoustic guitar, keyboards and vocals, P.J. Olsson on vocals, Tom Brooks on keyboards, Guy Erez on bass, Jeff Kollman on guitar and vocals, Danny Thompson on drums, Todd Cooper on sax, percussion and vocals, Dan Tracey on guitar and vocals.  More information on The Alan Parsons Live Project is available at http://alanparsons.com.

Gladys Knight

David Feherty

David Feherty is a former professional golfer on the European Tour and PGA Tour, and now works as a writer and broadcaster with NBC Sports and the Golf Channel.  He started playing professional golf in 1976 and spent most of his playing career in Europe, where he won five times and finished in the top ten twice in the European Tour’s Order of Merit, placing tenth in 1989 and eighth in 1990.  He spent 1994 and 1995 playing mainly on the PGA Tour in the United States, and the best result on the tour was a second place finish at the 1994 New England Classic.  David represented Ireland in international competition and captained the victorious 1990 Alfred Dunhill Cup team and played for Europe on the 1991 Ryder Cup team. 

In 1997, David retired from the tours and became an on-course reporter and golf analyst.  The first episode of “Feherty” debuted in 2011 as the most-watched premiere for an original series in Golf Channel history.  Over the span of five seasons, David has welcomed a variety of guests on his show, including golf-loving personalities like former President Bill Clinton, former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani, five-time NBA MVP Bill Russell, comedic genius Larry David, actors Samuel L. Jackson and Don Cheadle.  In 2014, David was nominated for a 2014 Emmy Award for Outstanding Sports Personality, Studio Host.

The Temptations

For nearly 60 years, The Temptations have reigned as one of popular music’s most beloved and successful groups worldwide. Billboard named the group this past month, one of the “125 Greatest of All Time Artists,” and in 2017 lauded them as the Number One R&B/Hip Hop Artists of All Time. The Temptations rose to the top of the charts with 16 Number One R&B albums and 43 Top Ten R&B hit songs across four decades, including 14 Number One singles. Their hits “My Girl,” “Ain’t Too Proud To Beg,” and “Get Ready” are timeless, iconic classics, while the group’s later forays into funk and psychedelia, including “Cloud Nine” and “Papa Was a Rollin’ Stone,” are just as influential. The group is one of Rolling Stone’s 100 Greatest Artists of All Time, and were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1989, into the Vocal Group Hall of Fame in 1999, and into the Rhythm & Blues Music Hall of Fame in 2013.

Currently the subject of a smash hit Broadway musical, “Ain’t Too Proud: The Life and Times of the Temptations,” which won the 2019 Tony Award for Best Choreography, the Temptations have won four Grammy Awards, including being honored with the Recording Academy’s Lifetime Achievement Grammy Award in 2013. In November, the Broadway Musical, “Ain’t Too Proud,” with the Grammy-winning Temptations’ music, was nominated for a Grammy Award in the “Best Musical Theater Album” category and the Awards category will be held in January 2020. Also, for the 2019 holiday season, Universal Music Enterprises just released in the market a first-of-its-kind, animated video featuring the Temptations’ “Silent Night,” one of the popular holiday songs of all time. Smokey Robinson

Smokey Robinson is a legendary singer-songwriter, record producer, record executive, and co-founder of Motown Records.  Robinson and his group, the Miracles met Berry Gordy after a failed audition for singer Jackie Wilson’s managers and Gordy was impressed with Robinson's vocals and ambitious songwriting.  With his help they released, “Got a Job,” and it was the beginning of a successful collaboration and the beginnings of Motown.  Over the next decade, Robinson and the Miracles produced 26 top 40 hits, including several top 10 hits such as “You’ve Really Got a Hold on Me,” “I Second That Emotion,” “The Tears Of a Clown” and others.  In 1975, Robinson released his most successful solo album, A Quiet Storm, which yielded three hit singles, “Baby That's Backatcha,” “The Agony & The Ecstasy,” and “Quiet Storm.”

In recent years, Robinson released the standards album, Timeless Love, Time Flies When You're Having Fun, Now And Then, and Smokey & Friends.  Robinson has been Inducted into the Kennedy Center, awarded an individual star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and a second star with The Miracles.  He was awarded a medal at the National Medal of Arts, A Heritage Award at the Soul Train Music Awards, and a BET Lifetime Achievement Award.  Howard University conferred on Robinson the degree of Doctor of Music as did the Berklee College of Music.  More information on Smokey Robinson is available at www.smokeyrobinson.com.

 

The Australian Pink Floyd Show
