Four Winds Casinos Announces A Summer Concert Series At Four Winds New Buffalo’s Silver Creek Event Center

The Pokagon Band of Potawatomi’s Four Winds® Casinos are pleased to announce a summer concert series at Four Winds New Buffalo’s Silver Creek® Event Center, which will kick-off on Saturday, July 24 at 9 p.m. Eastern with a concert by The Beach Boys.  Other upcoming concerts and events include performances by MJ Live, Hotel California, Happy Together, and Smokey Robinson.  Tickets for these and all other upcoming concerts, can be purchased online starting on Tuesday, June 1 at www.fourwindscasino.com.  All Four Winds guests must be at least 21 years of age or older.  Hotel rooms are available on the night of each concert and can be purchased with event tickets.  Please check the Four Winds Casino’s website for updates on health and safety protocols before each event.

 

The following is a lineup of upcoming events at Four Winds New Buffalo’s Silver Creek Event Center.  All times are Eastern:

·         The Beach Boys on Saturday July 24, at 9 p.m., with tickets starting at $74.
·         MJ Live on Friday, July 30, at 9 p.m., with tickets starting at $25.
·         Hotel California on Friday, August 6, at 9 p.m., with tickets starting at $25.
·         Happy Together on Friday, August 13, at 9 p.m., with tickets starting at $60.
·         Smokey Robinson on Friday, August 27, at 9 p.m., with tickets starting at $99.

The Beach Boys
As The Beach Boys mark more than a half century of making music, the group continues to ride the crest of a wave unequalled in America’s musical history.  Since lead-singer Mike Love penned the lyrics to The Beach Boys’ first hit, “Surfin’” (1961), dozens of the bands chart toppers have become eternal anthems of American youth:  “Surfin’ USA,” “Surfer Girl,” “Fun, Fun, Fun,” “I Get Around,” “California Girls,” “Help Me Rhonda,” “Barbara Ann,” “Good Vibrations,” “Wouldn’t It Be Nice,” “Rock and Roll Music,” and “Kokomo.

The Beach Boys have sold over 100 million records worldwide and have received more than 33 RIAA Platinum and Gold record awards.  The Rock And Roll Hall of Famers were also honored at the 2001 Grammy Awards with the Lifetime Achievement Award.  With more than five decades of touring under their belts, The Beach Boys have performed more concerts than any major rock band in history. 

The Beach Boys are led by Mike Love, who, along with longtime member Bruce Johnston, musical director Scott Totten, Brian Eichenberger, Christian Love, Tim Bonhomme, John Cowsill, Keith Hubacher and Randy Leago continue the legacy of the iconic band.  This concert will not feature Brian Wilson, Al Jardine or David Marks.  More information on The Beach Boys is available at www.thebeachboys.com

MJ Live
MJ Live features all of Michael Jackson’s biggest hits including “Bad,” “Billie Jean,” “Beat It,” “Dangerous,” “Smooth Criminal,” “Black & White,” “I Want You Back,” and many others.  Guests can relive the energy, excitement, spectacle and pure joy of this legendary superstar and his music while witnessing awesome sound, lighting and effects.  Guests can feel the energy from the MJ Live band and mega talented MJ Live dancers while singing along to some of the greatest hits of all time.  More information is available at https://mjliveshow.com/.

Hotel California
For more than three decades, Hotel California has touched the hearts of fans all over the world, by faithfully and accurately reproducing the Grammy award winning sounds of the Eagles.  Concert-goers can see how a spirited blend of originality and the pursuit of excellence have taken Hotel California to a level of international recognition normally reserved only for gold and platinum recording artists.

Happy Together
2021 will mark the twelfth year of the highly successful, hit-filled Happy Together Tour, which is once again headlined by The Turtles and will also feature music from Gary Puckett & The Union Gap; The Association; Classics IV; The Vogues; and The Cowsills.  The touring sensation, which has criss-crossed the nation delighting audiences for a decade, returns with a show full of chart-topping hits from the 1960s and 1970s that include 59 Billboard Top 40 songs.  More information on the Happy Together Tour is available at https://theturtles.com/tour.

Smokey Robinson
Smokey Robinson is a legendary singer-songwriter, record producer, record executive, and co-founder of Motown Records.  Robinson and his group, the Miracles met Berry Gordy after a failed audition for singer Jackie Wilson’s managers and Gordy was impressed with Robinson's vocals and ambitious songwriting.  With his help they released, “Got a Job,” and it was the beginning of a successful collaboration and the beginnings of Motown.  Over the next decade, Robinson and the Miracles produced 26 top 40 hits, including several top 10 hits such as “You’ve Really Got a Hold on Me,” “I Second That Emotion,” “The Tears Of a Clown” and others.  In 1975, Robinson released his most successful solo album, A Quiet Storm, which yielded three hit singles, “Baby That's Backatcha,” “The Agony & The Ecstasy,” and “Quiet Storm.” 

In recent years, Robinson released the standards album, Timeless Love, Time Flies When You're Having Fun, Now And Then, and Smokey & Friends.  Robinson has been inducted into the Kennedy Center, awarded an individual star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and a second star with The Miracles.  He was awarded a medal at the National Medal of Arts, A Heritage Award at the Soul Train Music Awards, and a BET Lifetime Achievement Award.  Howard University conferred on Robinson the degree of Doctor of Music as did the Berklee College of Music.  More information on Smokey Robinson is available at www.smokeyrobinson.com.
