April 12, 2011 – The Pokagon Band of Potawatomi Indians, owners of the Four Winds Casino Resort in New Buffalo, Mich., is pleased to announce that its newest casino, Four Winds Hartford, is scheduled to open in August 2011. The casino will be located at 68600 Red Arrow Highway in Hartford, Mich., approximately two and a half miles west of the City of Hartford between exits 41 and 46 on Interstate 94. Four Winds Hartford will be approximately 52,000 square feet and will maintain the same look and feel in design and finishes to Four Winds Casino Resort in New Buffalo, which set a new standard for gaming in the Midwest.

Four Winds Hartford will feature 500 slot machines of different varieties, including progressives, which are linked to slot machines in other casinos around the country and produce life-changing jackpots. There will also be nine table games, including blackjack and roulette, as well as a second location of the popular Timbers Fast Food and Deli, which is currently located at Four Winds Casino Resort in New Buffalo. A fifteen seat bar will also be attached to the 100 seat restaurant.

Four Winds Casino Resort’s W Club, the ultimate player loyalty program offering more flexibility and more control of earned points and complimentaries, will also be available at Four Winds Hartford. It is free to sign up for the W Club and players can earn points and redeem direct mail offers and promotional giveaways at both properties.

“The Pokagon Band of Potawatomi Indians have a long history in the Hartford area with a large community of Tribal citizens living there,” said Chairman Matt Wesaw. “We are thrilled to bring this first class entertainment facility to the community along with the hundreds of new jobs. We also expect the casino to support the development of ancillary businesses in the area.”

Approximately 300 permanent new jobs will be created at Four Winds Hartford. These include casino floor and back of house positions up through the supervisor level. A job fair for the general public will be held in the coming months and applicants can now apply for jobs at www.fourwindscasino.com/employment.

More information, including details on the job fair and an exact opening date will be announced at a later date.
